You will work as a Working Student (m/f/d) Data Science in our shopping department – specifically, construction market – an area that continues to experience rapid revenue growth.

Your tasks will include

• Work closely with other data scientists, data engineers, and developers to build innovative solutions to create or improve new product features or to solve business questions
• Developing data science and machine learning pipelines in a production environment
• Developing and optimizing machine learning models
• Web scraping, data mining, data wrangling
• Working mostly with tabular data, but also unstructured text and (some) image data
• Analyzing data to derive actionable business insights

Your Qualifications

• Currently completing a master’s degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, informatics or a comparable field. Bachelor’s students with a comparable background and strong data science and machine learning skills will also be considered
• Must haves:
  • Strong Python coding skills, including object-oriented programming using an IDE
  • Strong SQL skills in any of the following relational databases (MySQL / MSSQL / PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge and experience with popular data science and machine learning techniques and libraries (e.g. Pandas, Scikit-Learn, LightGBM, XGBoost, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch)
  • Business fluent knowledge of English
• Nice to haves:
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux command line tools and shell scripting
  • Experience working with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
